As reporters, due to the mound, we are unable to see the dogs pick up the flyer. All we can tell is how quickly they retrieve it and turn to their next bird. That is why the wording always sounds similar.

Test 5 - Triple with an Honor

The handler stands on a mound facing North/northwest. The order is left, middle, right. The left-hand retired bird is 309 yards from the line, throwing left to right, then retiring behind a green, brushed blind.

The middle bird is throwing left to right across a winding stream aprox. 139 yards from the line. This bird is a tight, hip pocket to the left-hand bird.

The third bird down is a flyer, shot left to right at aprox. 100 yards in front of the line.

Test dog #1, Tom Bogusky, came to the line, handled on both left and middle bird and was unable to locate the middle bird.

The test was altered to the description above.

Test dog #2, Marsha McGee, came to the line with the new altered test and picked up all of the birds.

TRAFFIC NOTICE: handlers who finish running and are parked in the lot are asked to move their vehicles out to the road so that trucks that need to run can park close to the line. Thank you.

Behind the line...

As the judges re-organize the test, contestants and the gallery take time to chat and avoid the sun...but, large cumulus clouds are rolling in that will assist our battle with the sun.
